Brandywine Claims 19th At Rock Manor

WILMINGTON, Del. -- The Penn State Brandywine golf team competed at the Fredrick Anton Memorial on Sunday afternoon hosted by Swarthmore College at Rock Manor Golf Club in Wilmington. Brandywine was one of 20 teams to complete play before the round was halted by darkness, finishing 19th overall.

Brad Dawson (Pinecrest, N.C./Southern Pines) scored the low round of the day for the Lions, carding a 91. Margaret Reynolds (West Chester, Pa./Westtown School) completed her round in 100 strokes, while Chris Deleo (West Chester, Pa.) finished with a round of 112 and Dan Nearey (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) collected 117 strokes.

Brandywine compiled a team score of 420. Stevens won the team title with a score of 298 in the field of 20 NCAA Division II and Division III schools. Stevens' Eddit Sot carded the invitational's top round, shooting a 70.

Brandywine will compete at the Ursinus Invitational at Ravens Claw Country Club on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 am.
