Amine Selected To Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team

MEDIA, Pennsylvania -- Penn State Brandywine senior Manny Amine (Detroit, Mich./Wyoming Park) was named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Men's Soccer Academic All-Area team on Monday, the first student-athlete from Brandywine to earn the honor. Amine was one of 11 student-athletes chosen from the 30 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

A psychology major who owns a 3.81 grade-point average, Amine became the first athlete from Brandywine to be awarded academic all-American honors from Capital One last year. He is also a three-time USCAA National Academic Team award winner and was honored on the PSUAC All-Academic Team during each of the last three seasons.

Amine closed out his four-year career with Brandywine this fall, earning first team all-conference honors for the second consecutive season. In 61 matches over the last four seasons, Amine recorded 14 goals and 12 assists for 40 points. He also helped lead the Lions to back-to-back PSUAC titles in 2013 and 2014.
