Thompson And Hieber Named To ACHA All-Region Teams

MEDIA, Pennsylvania -- Freshman forward Jonathan Thompson was named second team all-region, while senior goaltender Andrew Hieber earned third team all-region accolades from the American Collegiate Hockey Association following strong performances throughout the 2014-15 season for the Penn State Brandywine ice hockey team.

Thompson led Brandywine with 58 points after compiling team bests with 33 goals and 25 assists during his first season with the Lions.

Hieber, also named American Division Outstanding Goalie by the DVCHC, started all 27 games in net and registered a 2.83 goals-against average and .915 save percentage.

Brandywine finished the 2014-15 season with a record of 18-7 and advanced to the DVCHC Championship series for the seventh time in the last 12 years.
