Brandywine Hosts Annual Cross Country Invitational
MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's and women's cross country teams hosted the annual Penn State Brandywine Invitational on campus Saturday morning.
Tinyia Terrell (Milford, Va./Caroline) topped the Brandywine women by finishing second in the 29-runner field in a time of 32:11.
Liala Kanan (Schenectady, N.Y./Schenectady) was the second Lion to cross the finish line, doing so in 34:58, while Sierra Diawara (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) posted a mark of 35:32. Adelaide Etshman (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove) finished the course in 40:06.
For the Brandywine men, Malusi Pretcy (Philadelphia, Pa./New Foundations Charter) paced the Lions with an 8K mark of 33:25. He was the 10th runner to cross the finish line in the 47-man field.
Jayden Diawara (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) finished in a time of 46:09, while Gage McKenna (Avondale, Pa./Kennett) was just behind him in a mark of 50:47 and Jake Whalen (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) rounded out the Lions in 58:28.
After a week off, Brandywine will return to action at the Rowan Border Battle on Saturday, October 19.
