Brandywine Wraps Up Regular Season At Haverford Invitational
HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine men's and women's cross country teams closed out the regular season as both squads finished seventh at the Haverford Invitational on Friday afternoon.
During the women's 5K race, all five Brandywine runners set personal-best times led by Adelaide Etshman (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove), who trimmed 65 seconds off her previous top mark. Etshman crossed the finish line in 25:43.
Naya Rivera (Mays Landing, N.J./Oakcrest) posted a mark of 30:47, while Lanna Chhim (Philadelphia, Pa./Concord) hit the finish line in 32:29. Charlotte Aldridge (Landenberg, Pa./St. Mark's) and Vienna Fulginiti (Telford, Pa./Souderton) posted identical times of 34:18.
Mateo Yusuf (Cressonia, Pa./Blue Mountain) was the top performer for the Brandywine men during the four-mile run, running to a time of 25:46.
Matt Briddes (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) crossed the line in 30:03, while Jayden Diawara (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) finished 25 seconds later. Kaiere Cornitcher (Philadelphia, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) posted a time of 32:21 and Noah Walker (Bremen, Ga./Bremen) rounded out the Lions in 33:16.
Brandywine will host the United East Conference Championships on Saturday, November 1 beginning with the men's race at 11:00 AM.
