United East Conference Tabs Ava Craddock As Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine freshman outfielder Ava Craddock (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) was selected as the United East Conference Softball Player of the Week on Monday.
 
Craddock continued her hot start at the plate last week, collecting eight hits in 13 at-bats during four games, including a pair of two-hit contests and a four-hit effort. She drove in two runs, while scoring three times and stealing one base. 
 
Craddock scored twice in a win over Lake Forest on Tuesday and notched two-hit games against Alfred and Albertus Magnus. She closed out the Lions' Spring Break trip to Florida with a four-hit, two RBI game versus Carroll. Three of her four hits went for extra bases.
 
Through eight games this spring, Craddock owns a team-best .619 batting average after collecting 13 hits in 21 at-bats. She has scored six runs, while driving in five. Among United East players, Craddock ranks fourth in the league in both batting average and on-base percentage (.680).
 
Brandywine (5-3) faces Gwynedd Mercy for its home opener Tuesday at Maple Zone beginning at 3:00 PM.
