MEDIA, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine men's and women's tennis teams closed out the 2024-25 seasons on Saturday afternoon during Senior Day. Both squads suffered 7-0 setbacks to St. Mary's of Maryland.
For the Brandywine women, Samma Zahran (Brookhaven, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) and Emma Kaplan (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) teamed to win four points during their No. 1 doubles match before falling 6-4.
Zahran also won four points at No. 1 singles in a 2-6, 2-6 setback, while Hope Priemon (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) claimed two games at No. 4 singles.
On the men's side, Jonathan Parsons (Wallingford, Pa.) won four games during his third-flight singles bout, dropping a 2-6, 2-6 decision to Jacob Nelson.
Parsons and Elias Danesh (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) paired to win two games during their No. 2 doubles match.
Brandywine honored senior Louis Trolli (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) prior to the final match of his career.
