MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine and John Jay played to a 0-0 non-conference women's soccer draw on Saturday afternoon.
Jasmin Alvarez (Tracy, Calif./Tracy) recorded her second-straight and third overall shutout of the season in goal for the Lions. She was tested six times, stopping five shots during the opening 45 minutes and one in the second half.
Brandywine recorded four shots, including two off the foot of Emma Kearns (Springfield, Pa./Springfield). Kearns had the top scoring opportunity for either team on the day during the 64th minute. She drove down the right side of the goal, but her shot to the far side of the cage whistled just wide.
Addy Stanton (Henderson, Nev./Coronado) and Hope Priemon (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) also tallied a shot for the Lions. John Jay net minder Anina Gut made one stop to record the shutout for the Bloodhounds.
Brandywine (3-1-1) continues its three-match home stand Wednesday against Trinity Washington at 4:00 PM.
