GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team dropped its first road match of the 2025 season as the Lions were defeated 4-1 by Gwynedd Mercy on Monday night.
The first-half goals were the difference for the Griffins. GMU put its first goal on the board during the 14th minute and netted a pair of markers during the half's final 10 minutes.
After Gwynedd Mercy pushed the margin to 4-0 early in the second half, Robbie Warren (Waldorf, Md./Westlake) netted Brandywine's lone goal on the night. Francis Sarpong (Germantown, Md./Northwest) found Warren at the goal line for an easy tap-in as Warren scored for the third time this fall.
Warren accounted for four of Brandywine's 10 shots, while Jackson Gamber (Millville, N.J./Millville) tallied two shots.
Braden Warwick (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) played all 90 minutes in goal. He stopped a season-high 12 shots, including eight of the nine he saw during the second half.
Brandywine (1-2) returns home Wednesday to face Penn State Lehigh Valley at 4:00 PM.
