HARRISBURG, Pa. – 10th-seeded Penn State Brandywine saw its season come to an end following a 73-40 loss at seventh-seeded Penn State Harrisburg during the opening round of the United East Conference Women's Basketball Tournament on Wednesday night.
Trinell Watson (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) led the Lions in scoring during her final game with Brandywine, netting 13 points. Watson finished her 72-game career with 754 points.
Taylor Mims (Yeadon, Pa./Penn Wood), Cassidy Tolbert (Austell, Ga./Pebblebrook) and Journey Handy (Delmar, Md./Delmarva Christian) all chipped in five points. Abigail Adorno (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Lehman) added four rebounds and three assists, both team-high totals.
Harrisburg's defense limited the Lions to 22 percent shooting from the field, including a 5-of-26 mark during the first half, as the hosts opened up a 38-16 advantage by halftime. Harrisburg held a commanding lead throughout the second half, pushing the margin as large as 35 points late in the final period.
Brandywine forced 18 Harrisburg turnovers, but the hosts shot 47 percent from the floor and held a 44-29 edge on the boards. Lauren Moffatt keyed the victory for Harrisburg, producing a 30-point, 16-rebound effort in 38 minutes of action.
Brandywine finished the 2025-26 season with a 6-20 record after making its first-ever United East Tournament appearance.
