Brandywine Falls In Regular-Season Finale

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine women's basketball team dropped its regular-season finale by a score of 93-35 to St. Mary's of Maryland on Saturday afternoon.
 
Trinell Watson (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) led the Lions with nine points and shared the team rebounding lead with Abigail Adorno (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Lehman) as both pulled in five boards. Jazmyn Kemp (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) notched seven points and four boards and Journey Handy (Delmar, Md./Delmarva Christian) knocked down a pair of triples for six points.
 
St. Mary's built a 36-point lead by halftime and never let Brandywine get within 30 points during the final 20 minutes.
 
The Seahawks produced 51 percent shooting from the field and limited the Lions to 30 percent shooting.
 
Brandywine (6-19, 5-8 UEC) will travel to Penn State Harrisburg for a United East Conference Tournament first round game on Wednesday. Tip-off time will be announced Monday.
