Brandywine Baseball Honored For Academic Excellence

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association/Sports Attack Team Academic Excellence Award recently. 

Brandywine was one of 440 college programs to receive the award, including four from the United East Conference. Teams that accumulated a grade-point average of 3.0 or greater during the 2024-25 academic year were eligible to claim the honor.

Led by Head CoachVinny Gallo, Brandywine baseball posted a team GPA of 3.02 during the last academic year. Following the spring semester, 14 members of the team were named United East Scholar Athletes after recording a GPA of 3.2 or greater during the semester. In addition, eight members of the 2025 team graduated at the campus' spring commencement.
