Snyder Earns United East Player Of The Week Honor

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine senior second baseman Ryan Snyder (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) was named United East Conference Baseball Player of the Week on Monday.

During a 3-1 week for Brandywine, Snyder batted .500 (8-16) with a .579 on-base percentage, eight runs scored and five stolen bases.

In a conference victory at Valley Forge, Snyder recorded his third three-hit effort of the season, scored a trio of runs and stole two bases. One day later, Snyder singled, walked twice and scored four times to help Brandywine defeat John Jay 17-7. He recorded a pair of two-hit performances and stole three bases in a doubleheader split with Penn State Berks on Saturday.

After going 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts last week, Snyder took over the conference lead with 18 steals this spring. He has not been caught attempting to swipe a bag. In 22 games, Snyder is batting .385 with a team-high 23 runs scored. He is also tied for the team lead with 19 RBI.

Brandywine (11-11, 3-2 UEC) hosts Valley Forge in conference action on Tuesday beginning at 3:00 PM.
