Holland Tabbed United East Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine sophomore Corwin Holland II (Bowie, Md./Rock Creek Christian) was named Men's Basketball Player of the Week by the United East Conference on Monday.
 
Holland averaged 21.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in two Brandywine wins last week, helping the Lions clinch a conference tournament berth. He knocked down eight three-pointers and was 9-of-10 shooting at the free throw line, while shooting 43 percent overall from the field. 
 
On Wednesday at Wilson, Holland produced his second double-double of the season, recording 18 points and 11 rebounds in the Lions' 83-70 victory. Three days later, Holland poured in a game-high 25 points, his fourth game of 20-plus points this season, in just 24 minutes of action to help Brandywine defeat Penn College 84-58. 
 
A starter in all 22 games, Holland is averaging a team-leading 14.9 points and 6.6 rebounds this winter. He ranks seventh in the conference in rebounding and is the United East's 12th-leading scorer. Holland has been one of the league's top shooters, standing second in made three-pointers (54) and 10th in free throw shooting at 76 percent.
 
Brandywine (13-9, 8-2 UEC) hosts Penn State Harrisburg Wednesday at 5:30 PM.
