Fogg’s Career Day Leads Hot-Shooting Brandywine To Fourth-Straight Victory

MEDIA, Pa. -- Jaden Fogg (Morrisville, Pa./Morrisville) poured in a career-high 30 points as the Penn State Brandywine men's basketball team stretched its winning streak to four consecutive games with a 101-90 victory over St. Elizabeth on Saturday afternoon.

Fogg shot 9-of-13 from the field and sank 11-of-13 free throws to top his previous career-best mark of 23 points set last January against Penn College. He also grabbed five rebounds. Eighteen of Fogg's points came during the first half as Brandywine raced out to a 47-41 lead at intermission.

The Lions shot nearly 55 percent from the field (28-51), including a 16-of-28 mark during the opening period, en route to reaching the 100-point mark for the first time since February 8, 2020. Brandywine knocked down nine three-pointers and trekked to the free throw line 44 times, sinking 36.

Ahmaar Godhania (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) was 8-for-8 at the free throw stripe and 3-of-3 from beyond the arc as he added 17 points. Ja'bri White (Townsend, Del./St. Mark's) accounted for 17 points, while Corwin Holland II (Bowie, Md./Rock Creek Christian) notched 13 points and a team-high nine boards. Jack Swider (Conshohocken, Pa./Phil-Mont Christian Academy) chipped in a trio of triples and scored 11 points.

After leading by six points at the break, Brandywine stretched the margin as large as 22 points with less than seven minutes remaining in the contest. Holding a 70-62 edge with 11:24 to play, Brandywine scored 14-straight points during the next 4:14. Godhania started the run with four free throws, while White contributed seven points and Holland buried a triple that pushed the Lions' lead to 20 for the first time.

St. Elizabeth whittled away at the Lions' lead, pulling within eight on three occasions during the final three minutes, but Brandywine held on behind strong free throw shooting. The Lions shot 12-for-14 at the charity stripe during the game's final 2:41 to even their record at 6-6 on the season.

Brandywine scored 34 points in the paint and received 34 points from its reserves. The game was physical throughout as the teams combined for 53 fouls and 83 free throws.

Brandywine (6-6, 1-0 UEC) will play two-straight games against Division I opponents beginning with an exhibition at Mount St. Mary's on Sunday, December 21 (12:00 PM).
